Russia To Help Pakistan With Gas Pipe Installation
The Ministries of Energy of Russia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan signed a memorandum of cooperation for a marine gas pipeline project. As the Russian Ministry of Energy reports, the pipeline will supply gas from Iran to Pakistan and India.
The document describes the process of appointing companies for the project. This includes for technical and economic studies – the feasibility of the resource base and the configurations and route of the pipeline. According to the Deputy Minister of Energy, Anatoly Yankovsky, the memorandum will facilitate signing a similar document with India. The country is ready to expand their cooperation with Russia in a number of industries.
Last year, Gazprom and Iran signed a memorandum on possible participation in the exploration of four deposits in the Republic. Among other options for gas monetisation, the Russian corporation is considering the following projects: an Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline and Iran-LNG, an LNG plant.
It was previously reported that suppliers of car-related products can count on up to 50% compensation of costs of opening after-sales maintenance facilities and service centres in other countries. A Russian Government Decree approved the corresponding regulations as part of the International Cooperation And Export In Industry project.
