Russian Neural Interface with Large Export Potential

According to Rostec’s press service, the BrainReader universal neural interface developed by Avtomatika Concern will be promoted in the international market (the company is part of Rostec state corporation). The developer has already filed applications for obtaining permits for sales in Asian countries, and offers have been received from overseas companies, particularly in Indonesia and Malaysia.

BrainReader allows exchanging information between the human brain and any external device with the necessary interfaces, such as household appliances, computers, exoskeletons, artificial sense organs, and wheelchairs.

According to Oleg Evtushenko, Executive Director of Rostec, the new neural interface is a breakthrough solution in the field of neurotechnologies that changes people’s lives and opens up new opportunities for the development of science and technology. The neuroheadset can be used to control “smart” systems and robots, rehabilitate people with disabilities, conduct research on the human brain, mental activity, and sleep phases, and in many other areas.

As noted, the device has a good export potential. The closest comparable neuroheadset is made in the USA and is about three times more expensive. As previously reported, control procedures were simplified for exporters of IT solutions.
